StarL 9 Ashes Of The Past

StarL 9 Ashes Of The Past is an adventure game set on a magical island. The player character awakens there after a hot air balloon accident, finds that her friend has vanished, and learns that the island’s inhabitants all address her as a princess, although she does not know why. The story draws on a forgotten legend involving a witch turned to stone, a realm consumed by chaos, and a hero expected to return after a hundred years.

The player explores a range of locations, including ancient forests, hidden lakes and forgotten castles frozen in stone. The stated goals involve breaking curses, freeing trapped souls, restoring lost magic and uncovering the secrets of a mystical mirror linked to an ancient prophecy. The central objectives are to break the witch’s curse and restore the magical mirror, which reveals the truth behind the player character’s royal destiny.

Along the way the player meets a number of characters, among them a talking raccoon, a mermaid, stone guardians and an alchemist whose forbidden love unleashed a terrible evil upon the kingdom. The game has moved from development status to a full release on Steam.
