Sublight

Sublight puts the player in command of a stellar battleship travelling through several sectors of a hostile galaxy. The opposition includes rogue rebel fleets and alien swarms.

Defeating enemies yields salvaged materials, which are used to level up the ship. The player equips turrets, such as autocannons and railguns, and combines them with a range of passive upgrades to shape the ship’s build. Each turret has a firing arc, so where weapons are placed and aimed affects how they can be used.

A selection of unique ships can be unlocked, and each one offers several alternative loadouts. Every hull has its own integrated weapon systems and abilities, which change how it plays. Completing in-game challenges unlocks further ships, weapons and upgrades. The game has now passed 100 reviews on Steam.
