DEVIL’S WAY: BOHEMIAN is a dark comedy survival and action game. Players control James DUD, an aimless protagonist trapped in a surreal dystopia governed by a malevolent AI. Progress depends on opening doors, with each one leading to a different scenario, including chaotic corridors and psychological traps. The game contains violence and profanity, and its humour draws on pop culture references, internet culture and satire.

The AI presents the player with A/B dilemmas, and the developer states that no option is entirely safe. Choices are combined with real-time action. Players use everyday items to defend themselves, dodge sudden threats and move through physical traps. Some rooms test environmental awareness through audio, requiring the player to listen carefully before moving on.

Decisions can have lasting effects. Certain choices cause persistent anomalies, unwanted companions or mechanical curses that remain for the rest of a run. The developer notes that the game’s references are fictional, set in a dystopian world, and not based on real people or events.
