Sundered®: Eldritch Edition
Sundered: Eldritch Edition is a hand-drawn metroidvania set in a ruined world inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. Players control Eshe, a wanderer trapped in shifting caverns, who must fight through hordes of dynamically spawned monsters and face large-scale boss encounters. The game combines hand-crafted and procedurally generated levels, meaning the layout of the dungeon changes between playthroughs while key areas remain fixed.
Core gameplay involves exploration, combat and upgrading. Classic metroidvania elements such as backtracking, secret areas and ability-gated progression form the basis of exploration. Combat centres on melee encounters against large groups of enemies and unique boss fights. Death is a frequent part of the experience, returning players to a hub area where they can spend earned resources on perks, stats and abilities that alter their build. Corrupted relics can be harnessed for power, with the choice to resist or embrace their eldritch influence affecting character progression and the story’s outcome.
This edition includes the Magnate of the Gong update, which adds local co-op multiplayer for up to four players, along with additional areas and a new boss fight against the Magnate of the Gong. The game features hand-drawn art and animation, multiple character builds through hundreds of available upgrades, multiple endings, and over 15 hours of gameplay.
