Survivor’s Notes

Survivor’s Notes is a full-motion video game set in 2026, shortly after a sudden zombie outbreak has spread across the globe and left civilisation close to collapse. The story follows two leads. Ji Xingchuan is a cartoonist who spent a year dreaming of the same post-apocalyptic world and turned those dreams into a successful serialised manga, Notes of the Survivor, before halting it when the dreams began to match real events. Bai Yuan is a special forces soldier sent back from 2033 to locate the source of the disaster and stop it, knowing that success would erase both her and the future she comes from.

Players control both protagonists, switching between their perspectives to follow separate strands of the story. Decisions made along the way and the outcome of quick-time events push the narrative down different branches, and these choices determine which of several endings is reached. The camera uses a third-person view that stays closely tied to the protagonist’s viewpoint. The narrative focuses on ordinary people facing the collapse, with themes of memory, trust and sacrifice, and includes a number of plot twists as the characters uncover the cause of the outbreak.

All characters feature voice acting by real performers. The game has received more than 500 reviews on Steam.
