The Excavation: Beneath The Cathedral
The Excavation: Beneath The Cathedral is a first-person horror game set at an excavation site under an abandoned cathedral. While working underground, the player falls through the ground into the depths below. With the route back sealed off, the aim is to find another way out through tunnels that are not as empty as they first seem.
The game involves exploring buried passageways, collapsed chambers, ancient ruins and sacred halls hidden beneath the cathedral. Progress is made by searching the surroundings, collecting keys and solving environmental puzzles to open the path ahead. Scattered notes can be collected along the way, and these reveal what happened beneath the cathedral and why the excavation was not meant to reach this far.
The player is stalked by a presence in the darkness, and the game states there is no way to confront it, only to survive by staying alert and keeping moving. It includes scripted encounters and pursuit sequences, and is described by the developer as a compact, story-focused horror experience. English and Turkish language support is included.
