Tidy or Treat

Tidy or Treat is an organising game set in a Halloween shop. A Halloween spirit has pulled every item off the shelves and left them across the floor, and players must pick each item up, work out where it belongs and put it back until the floor is clear. The game can be played solo or cooperatively with up to four players sharing the work. The developer states that no AI was used in making the game.

Each run is randomised. Players can use Trick Cards to speed up the tidying, though the outcome of each card is outside their control. Abilities include calling every scattered item of one type to the player’s hands, highlighting everything that belongs on the shelf the player is facing, and sending an armful of items to their correct places without walking them there. These abilities are earned through tidying, so they become available as the player progresses.

There are four modes. Casual has no clock. Timed has players race against a timer, plan their routes and try to beat their fastest completion. Witching Hour unlocks every magical ability from the start. No Tricks removes all abilities and shortcuts, leaving players to tidy by hand.
