Upload Aliens

Upload Aliens is a pixel art action game with roguelite mechanics, set in a cyberpunk world under alien invasion. The player controls a knight tasked with preventing aliens falling from the sky from reaching the surface. Combat centres on launching enemies into the air and driving them into bosses like missiles, which sets off chain explosions.

The control scheme uses three actions: move, jump and dash. Building on these, the game features an aerial combo system where enemies are knocked upwards, cornered and destroyed. Maps are procedurally generated on each run and contain objects such as bounce platforms and teleporters that can be used during fights. When the knight dies, they gain new abilities and return to an earlier point, and the game offers a range of skill combinations to explore across runs.

The story follows a cycle of death and rebirth presented as dark comedy, and it is delivered through the environments rather than text. Neon-lit, dystopian settings are used to convey how the world fell to the invasion and why the knight keeps dying. The game supports both keyboard and gamepad.
