Ved: Recure

Ved: Recure is an action roguelike with a framing story about an overworked office worker. After a 27th consecutive night of overtime, the protagonist returns to an empty room, adds a 1000th game to their library and falls asleep in their chair, waking in a different world. The aim is to uncover the mysteries of that world, fight through it and find a way back to reality.

The game offers seven playable characters, each with their own abilities, playstyle and personality. Every character has distinct action mechanics and upgrade paths. Progression is built around nine core attributes and more than 150 buffs that do not rely on standard numerical values. Rather than a conventional roguelike upgrade system, players assemble a customisable buff chain, triggering and connecting buffs during combat to create different interactions between them.

Combat is fast-paced and centres on blocking, dodging and striking. There are four large stages, each with a distinct visual style, and 16 bosses to fight. Players can also find and collect over 50 pieces of equipment, some of which carry hidden traits that affect the buffs active in a run.
