Vortha racing
Vortha is an arcade racing game built around time trials rather than direct wheel-to-wheel competition. Players race against their own previous best times or against ghost recordings of other players. The game launches with 17 tracks. Early stages introduce the fundamentals, and once those are tested the difficulty increases. Progression is tied to performance: medals must be earned on existing tracks in order to unlock the next ones.
The core mechanics revolve around maintaining speed and finding efficient lines. Tracks feature boosters, magnetic fields and shortcuts, and momentum plays a central role in how a run develops. Drifting is a key skill, with well executed drifts allowing the car to exit corners faster than it entered. Players also have to deal with changing track surfaces and portal teleportations, and improving a time generally comes down to refining a run to save small fractions of a second.
A global leaderboard is included at launch. The developer has stated that new content is planned on a monthly basis, and a track builder is in development.
