Wanderburg

Wanderburg is a fast-paced, minimalist roguelike set in a medieval world of roaming fortresses. In this setting, castles hunt and villages flee, and only the largest stronghold survives. The player begins with a modest moving fortress that grows over the course of each run.

The player rolls the castle forward to consume what lies in its path, including fleeing villages, wandering flocks and smaller fortresses. Defeating powerful enemy castles allows further growth. The castle is built up from modules, with options such as cannons, arcane towers staffed by wizards and explosives. Enemies and allies include steam-powered siege engines, knights on bicycles and large strongholds that fire broadsides like warships. Each run lets the player try different builds.

Progression carries over between runs. New modules and vehicles can be unlocked, along with artifacts and captains, which widen the available strategies and build variety. The game supports mouse and keyboard as well as controller input, and is described by its developer as highly optimised for a wide range of hardware.
