A quiet farm, a broken man, and something watching from the dark. We Harvest Shadows turns chores into dread one night at a time.

From the creator of The First Tree comes We Harvest Shadows, a first-person game that mixes gentle farm life with genuine psychological horror. You play as Garrett, a bloke who’s given up on the world and holed himself up on an abandoned farm in the Appalachian wilderness, fixing fences, feeding animals and trying to keep himself busy. Trouble is, the nights don’t stay quiet for long.

It’s a slow burn rather than a jump scare fest, more P.T. than your typical horror romp, with a heavy dose of Edith Finch style storytelling threaded through it. You’ll spend your days sorting out the farmstead and exploring miles of atmospheric countryside, then spend your nights wondering if you’re actually alone in that house. No hunger bars, no inventory faff, just you, your chores and whatever’s lurking in the shadows.

It’s the kind of game that’s oddly relaxing right up until it isn’t, and the story it’s telling about Garrett sticks with you long after the credits roll.
