水浒英雄传：八幕战役

水浒英雄传：八幕战役 is a 2D isometric real-time strategy game drawing on the classic novel Water Margin. Players lead heroes including Song Jiang, Lin Chong, Lu Zhida and Wu Song through eight campaign missions, each with distinct terrain, objectives and tactical mechanics. The missions include Intercepting the Birthday Gifts, the Jiangzhou Execution Rescue, the Three Attacks on Zhujia Village, the Battle Against the Linked Horses, the Defence of Liangshan Marsh, the Wild Boar Forest incident, the Drunken Beating of Jiang Menshen, and the Dongchang Prefecture stone assault. All missions can be selected directly from a campaign map.

Outside the campaign, a Free Mode allows players to manage the Liangshan stronghold starting from the Hall of Righteousness. This involves sending followers to gather gold and wood, constructing barracks, watchtowers, housing, storehouses and markets, training troops and heroes, and expanding the camp through technology, trade and fortifications. Additional single-player modes include a defence mode where players hold off successive waves of government troops, and a 1v1 mode against an AI opponent capable of resource gathering, construction, troop training and offensive action.

Heroes gain experience and level up through combat, unlocking skills. Tactical systems include formations, fog of war, garrisoning, patrols, combat stances, unit grouping and command queues. The game also includes a built-in level editor for placing terrain, units, decorations, reinforcements, wave settings and victory conditions, with custom levels saved locally and playable immediately.
