After the Silence

After the Silence is a first-person psychological horror game set around a crime that affected a community in Mexico in 1989. The player takes the role of Alfredo, a 40-year-old man caught in a nightmare linked to the most traumatic event of his life. The locations the player explores are inspired by real events.

Gameplay centres on exploration and puzzle solving. The player moves through hallways, searches for keys and works through puzzles while travelling through Alfredo’s home and other locations. Along the way, the player encounters distorted memories and unexplained phenomena.

The story is told through discovery. As the player advances, the boundary between nightmare and reality becomes less clear. The player visits mysterious locations and finds forgotten documents, which can be used to piece together the events that changed the lives of several people and to learn what happened.
