AI-VJ – Abstract 6 Visuals

AI-VJ – Abstract 6 Visuals is a downloadable content pack for AI-VJ, a visual performance tool aimed at DJs and VJs. It is now released and adds more than 430 AI-generated visuals with an abstract art theme, spanning 11 different visual styles. The pack forms part of the developer’s Sharp Series of visual add-ons.

The visuals are pre-generated rather than rendered in real time, which the developer states is intended to keep performance consistent. Each clip was selected and manually adjusted by a DJ before being included. All visuals were recorded at 60 frames per second, twice the usual video frame rate, so that they play back smoothly when matched to a range of tempos. The combined unique runtime of the collection is over 40 minutes, and the developer notes that with the repeated plays typical of VJ sets this is sufficient to cover a two hour DJ performance.

Once the DLC is installed, the new visuals can be loaded into a deck from the Visuals menu at the top of the AI-VJ interface, or through the dedicated DLC Visuals window. The developer also states that the visuals were produced using green energy.
