Fresh Tracks VR is a virtual reality game that combines skiing with rhythm-based play. The player’s movement, combat and progression are timed to the music, with the soundtrack changing in response to how the player moves. The game is set in a land called Norwyn, and its story is delivered by characters known as the Mythics, who relate the legends of the setting through spoken story and song.

The game is structured as a roguelite. Each run offers the chance to unlock upgrades and try different strategies for later attempts, and repeated playthroughs are intended to reveal further layers of the narrative. The design is built around players refining their skills across multiple runs rather than completing the game in a single session.

The soundtrack consists of 28 tracks spanning a range of genres. Each track is accompanied by its own beat pattern, and the music reacts dynamically to the player’s actions during a run.
