C-Beams

C-Beams is a top-down space action RPG set in a black hole system that has become the focus of a resource gold rush. Players take on the role of a new pilot who navigates hazardous anomalies, hostile ships, and corporate rivals while extracting rare elements and building a reputation across various factions.

Ship handling is designed to reflect realistic physics, including retro burns for rapid deceleration, engine cut-offs for silent drifting, and manoeuvring thrusters for evasive action. Cargo mass affects ship handling, and fuel management is required for boost usage. Combat includes close-range weapons such as gatling turrets and recoilless cannons, alongside long-range options like guided missiles, railguns, and C-Beams, with sub-system targeting allowing players to disable specific enemy systems such as engines, weapons, or radar.

Players can dock at space stations or derelict ships, raid cargo from disabled vessels, and use asteroids for cover or ambushes. Stealth upgrades support surprise attacks or avoidance of conflict. The game features a network of jump points connecting asteroid fields, stations, planets, moons, and nebulas, with both station-based contracts and unstructured exploration available. Ships and equipment can be upgraded or replaced, with a hangar serving as the player’s base of operations for managing their fleet and gear.
