Another Eden Begins

Another Eden Begins is a role-playing game created by Masato Kato, with a story that takes place across the past, present and future. The main story is fully voiced. Its main theme was composed by Yasunori Mitsuda, and the music, which uses traditional folk instruments and an orchestra, was produced by Procyon Studios.

The story follows Aldo, who lives in the village of Baruoki with his younger sister, Feinne. When the Beast King takes Feinne, Aldo follows them into the Moonlight Forest. After a fight with a beast, a tear in spacetime sends him to a world 800 years in the future. Along the way he meets 18 characters with different backgrounds and talents. Each can be explored through encounter quests, character quests and kinship quests, with kinship quests unlocking once a deep connection has been formed.

Battles are command-based and begin when the player initiates them. Players build parties around the roles and synergies of attackers, supporters and healers. Attacks fill the Another Force gauge, and activating it stops enemies from taking action while the party performs powerful attacks. Completing the main story unlocks New Game+, in which characters keep their strength. A mysterious girl prompts Aldo to begin the new journey, and the player’s actions and choices determine which of over 10 endings is reached.
