Better Than Dead

Better Than Dead is a first-person shooter in which players control a survivor seeking revenge against those who filmed and destroyed her life. Armed with a pistol and a bodycam, she moves through a photorealistic recreation of Hong Kong, taking on enemies across settings such as neon-lit restaurants, nightclubs, back alleys and rooftop dens.

The game is structured around repeated raids through levels designed with a set rhythm. Players are expected to die, learn the layout of each encounter, and return with improved timing and strategy, allowing runs to become progressively faster. Combat incorporates fast movement, sliding and bullet-time mechanics as part of its gunplay.

The bodycam is a central feature, recording each step, shot and death during play. The game’s visual and action style draws inspiration from Hong Kong action films of the 1980s and 1990s.
