Blightstone

Blightstone is a strategy roguelike set in a world threatened by the demon overlord Korghul. Players take on the task of protecting the Earthglass Crystal and escorting it to the Infernal Rift, with each failed attempt offering new skills and knowledge for subsequent runs. The game combines grid-free tactical combat with roguelike progression, meaning both the player’s party and enemies can move and position freely across the battlefield.

Combat takes place on a dynamic battlefield where the environment plays an active role. Players can use terrain such as long grass for cover, or set it alight to deny enemies that same advantage, and can gather foes in water to strengthen electric attacks. Weather conditions such as fog, rain and wind also affect visibility, accuracy and elemental effects during battles.

Players recruit heroes from classes including Brawler, Hunter, Arcanist, Druid and Priest, each with distinct abilities and companions. A wide range of active and passive skills can be unlocked for both the adventurers and the Earthglass Crystal itself, covering melee, ranged, area-of-effect and grappling styles that can be combined into combos. Combat includes status effects such as bleeding, poison, binding, stun and burn. Between battles, parties must set up camp each night and scavenge resources to heal and stave off the Blight. The game features procedural generation, so each playthrough differs, while an overarching narrative about the Infernal Rift, the Earthglass and the Blightstone unfolds as players progress.
