Blue Sun Saga

Blue Sun Saga is set in a distant future where the sun is nearing the end of its life. Earth has turned to desert, water is scarce and plant life is almost gone, yet humanity survives in settlements clustered around the remaining patches of greenery. Resources are stretched thin and harsh measures are used to keep these communities going. The player takes the role of a man who, along with his whole family, was exiled from his home for a crime he does not believe any of them committed. After a long period alone, he accepts a mission that could restore life to the planet, which requires him to revisit his own past and uncover the truth.

The game is structured around eight levels, each of which concludes with a boss fight. In every level the objective is to navigate the area and locate the exit while dealing with enemies and traps placed throughout. Combat is intended to be approached tactically, and enemies become more dangerous as the player progresses, so learning the combat system is central to advancing.

To support exploration, each level includes a map. The player can also acquire permanent upgrades that improve their combat abilities and carry over as they move through the game.
