Build a town from scratch, deck-build your way through it, then defend it every month when the enemies come knocking. Pixel art frontier life has never been this tense.

Border Pioneer drops you fresh out of the academy and sends you off to the frontier to prove you’ve got what it takes. You’ll start with nothing but barren land and slowly turn it into a proper settlement, unlocking new buildings and units as your town grows.

The twist is the deck building. You’ve got over 200 cards to collect and mix into your own deck, and how you play them decides how smoothly your town comes together. It’s a nice mix of planning ahead and thinking on your feet, since resources and layout choices matter just as much as the cards in your hand.

And just when you think you’re settling in, the end of the month rolls around and enemies show up to try and tear down everything you’ve built. So you’re constantly juggling growth with defense, which keeps things from ever feeling too comfortable. If you fancy taming the wild frontier and building a legacy worth remembering, this one’s worth a look.
