Cat Secretary

Cat Secretary is a game set at DOX, a multinational entertainment conglomerate, where the player takes on the role of a stray cat hired as the company’s first feline employee. During the day, the cat performs office tasks such as making coffee and fixing the router, while uncovering a conspiracy involving the replacement of human staff with robots. At night, the cat sneaks past AI security to explore the upper floors of DOX headquarters and complete quests connected to the ongoing storyline.

The game includes a lobby renovation system, allowing players to spend in-game currency called DOXBux on upgrades and expansions to customise the office reception area. Progression involves developing skills, earning promotions, and networking with coworkers, with a system for levelling up referred to as increasing “bandwidth” and mastering “core competencies.”

The narrative centres on themes of corporate growth, automation, and the use of generative AI within the fictional company, as the player’s character works to uncover underhanded schemes and navigate various workplace trials.
