Chill Drive Together
Chill Drive Together is a driving game with no timer, no destination and nothing to unlock. The road continues to generate in front of the car for as long as the player keeps driving, and it can be played solo or with one other person sharing the same road. There are five environments: forest, fairy forest, meadow village, mountain pass and ancient valley. Pressing E switches between them without a loading screen, with the landscape rewritten from behind the car forward while the road surface stays in place. Each player picks their environment independently, so two drivers can be in different settings while remaining on the same route. Sixteen vehicles are available, including a roadster, coupes, sedans, an SUV, a pickup, a van, trucks and a bus. Cars can be chosen in the garage or swapped mid-drive with O, with the new vehicle appearing at the speed the previous one was travelling. Vehicles have different top speeds, each starts at roughly sixty percent of its maximum, and the limit rises over about a minute of driving without heavy braking. A cruise lock is bound to X.
Time of day and weather can be set manually and held in place, or left to run automatically, with a full cycle from dawn to night taking around fifteen minutes. Weather effects include wind-driven rain, snow that records tyre tracks before covering them, northern lights, meteors and fog that fills valleys. These are tied to the world seed, so both players see the same conditions. AI traffic slows for corners, keeps distance and overtakes when the opposite lane is free, and its density can be set anywhere from empty to heavy. The road features bridges, viaducts, spiralling mountain passes, a distant lighthouse, fuel stops and viewpoints. Ten music tracks are included, and players can add their own mp3, ogg, wav or aiff files to a music folder or build playlists; the files are read in place rather than copied.
For two-player sessions, a convoy readout shows how far ahead or behind the other driver is and places an arrow at the screen edge when they are out of view. Players can share their speed so both cars match, and a horn is bound to H. Voice chat is positional, growing louder as the other car draws alongside, and a text box is also available. Lobbies can be public, friends-only or private, and the session continues if the host leaves. The TAB drive menu opens without stopping the car and covers environment, time, weather, traffic, camera and vehicle settings, along with seed entry and a copyable world code. A photo mode is on F2, a gallery with direct Steam upload is on F4, and Auto Drive on F5 takes over the wheel and hides the interface until any input is made. The game supports ten languages, all controls can be rebound on keyboard and controller, and camera shake, speed lines and most on-screen elements can be switched off.
