Croak is a fast-paced 2D platformer in which a Frog Prince uses tongue-grapple and bounce mechanics to navigate hand-drawn levels and break a curse on his kingdom.

Croak is a 2D platformer built around a two-action tongue mechanic. A short tap grapples and climbs surfaces, a long press launches the frog protagonist off a platform, and holding the action allows for continuous pinball-style bouncing. Players control the Frog Prince as he travels through short, self-contained levels to lift a curse placed on his kingdom.

The game is animated entirely by hand using traditional frame-by-frame techniques, with visual work from artists who have previously contributed to Cuphead and Rick and Morty. Levels are set within a swamp setting that includes a carnival area called the Feast Fair, run by a character known as the Witch, featuring mini-games and additional challenges alongside the main platforming stages.

Croak includes boss encounters that require dodging and timing to defeat, along with hidden secrets, puzzles, and achievements to unlock across the game’s environments.
