Crosstalk: Hardware Sniffers

Crosstalk: Hardware Sniffers is a free piece of downloadable content for Crosstalk. The base game leaves players largely to their own devices, and this DLC adds a more structured layer on top of it. It includes a basic set of missions built around computer architecture, each of which supports leaderboards, stats and achievements.

Beyond the included missions, the DLC provides tools for players to author their own computer architecture-related challenges. These can be published and shared with other players via the Steam Workshop.

Completing the included missions is also a requirement for accessing two other pieces of Crosstalk content: the Story mode and the House of Hex DLC. According to the developer, this gate exists because those DLC assume a working knowledge of computer architecture, binary and hex pattern-matching, which the missions in Hardware Sniffers are intended to establish.
