Deep Sheol

Deep Sheol is a retro first-person shooter with survival horror elements, set in a dystopian future controlled by corporations. Players take the role of Special Agent Seth, who is sent to investigate why a secretive mining base extracting a new biological gas has stopped communicating. On arrival, he finds that the gas has transformed the workers and nearby townsfolk into zombies. The story involves fighting through groups of enemies, uncovering a corporate conspiracy and confronting creatures drawn from Lovecraftian mythology, combined with a dark science fiction setting.

The game uses a resource management system covering ammunition, medical supplies and food, alongside a set of player vital stats that affect how the game plays. An environmental analysis system highlights important items and mission objectives, and the game includes logical and environmental puzzles. The visual style takes an industrial retro approach modelled on classic first-person shooters, and a dynamic soundtrack changes in response to the situation.
