Navigate unknown waters, deadly politics, and ancient magic in this low-fantasy adventure. Can you turn the tides of war and forge a future for your clan? A text-based interactive novel, 1 million words and hundreds of choices, without graphics or sound effects.

Diaspora is a massive text-based interactive novel from Vincent Cunningham and JJ Laurier, clocking in at a whopping one million words. There’s no graphics, no sound, just pure choice-driven storytelling that leans entirely on your imagination to bring it to life.

You play as the leader of a people forced from their ancestral home, sailing south into unknown waters where only your missing father has ever set foot. Once you land, the real trouble starts. A powerful empire holds the nearby coastal city, raiders want it back, and you’re stuck in the middle trying to find allies, hunt down an ancient artefact, and carve out a place for your clan to survive.

You can play as any gender or orientation you like, and the choices go well beyond politics. Command your crew through sea battles and raids, face down an ancient sea monster, chase magic through a storm, and decide whether your people cling to old traditions or leap into something new. Who you trust, who you love, and what kind of future you build for your clan is entirely down to you.
