EVERSPACE™

EVERSPACE is a single-player space shooter built around roguelike structure, with persistent progression carried between runs. Each run takes place across procedurally generated levels containing hazards and resources, so the layout and situations differ from one attempt to the next. Death ends a run but is designed as part of a longer progression rather than a full reset. The game includes a fully voice-acted story, delivered through encounters with a cast of characters who each reveal part of the narrative concerning the player character’s origins.

Combat uses six degrees of freedom flight with shooter-style controls, which the developer states are optimised for mouse and keyboard. Players engage in dogfights using a range of weapons and devices. Resources can be collected and mined, then spent either on repairing damaged ship systems or on crafting new equipment and modifications. Blueprints for crafting can be found during runs, alongside exotic weapons and gear. The game features an in-depth crafting and damage system.

Three player ships are available, each with different capabilities and starting equipment, and all feature dynamic, functional cockpit displays. A Hardcore Mode with permadeath is included for players who want a stricter roguelike experience.
