Fantasy Bird Woods

Fantasy Bird Woods, subtitled The Saga of Evolving Wings, is a desktop game that runs on screen alongside other activities. It presents a sanctuary in which birds begin as small chicks and develop into larger fantasy creatures as time passes.

The core mechanic is observation rather than direct control. Birds progress through evolutionary paths, and the player watches these changes take place while going about other tasks on the computer. Dozens of fantasy species are included, each with its own avian form, and the game describes its evolutionary paths as open-ended.

The game is structured around discovering these species and seeing how they emerge from the chicks in the player’s sanctuary.
