Frog & Roll

Frog & Roll is a platformer that centres on movement precision and reaction speed. Players slide, glide and jump across platforms while avoiding obstacles, with the aim of reaching the exit of each map as quickly as possible.

The game is built around three modes. Surf involves sliding along sloped surfaces, where balance and speed control are required. This style of play formed within modifications for Half-Life and Counter-Strike 1.6. Bhop is based on a series of precise jumps that allow a player to maintain and build speed, a mechanic that originated in Quake. Bhop maps in Frog & Roll add unusual platforms and obstacles to the established format.

Climb is the third mode and is inspired by games such as Only Up. It asks players to progress gradually along a demanding course using precise jumps. Climb maps run horizontally as well as vertically, and completing them calls for careful movement as well as speed.
