A linear third-person survival horror game in which two protagonists explore an abandoned orphanage, solving puzzles to uncover its secrets.

Hapervil is a linear third-person survival horror game set in an abandoned orphanage. The story follows two protagonists, Amaya and Will, who wake up trapped inside the building and must explore its rooms and hallways to uncover what happened there.

Players control both characters at different points in the story, each offering a different perspective and set of personal motivations. Progress relies on exploration and puzzle-solving, with locks, hidden mechanisms and other puzzles gating access to new areas and revealing narrative details about the orphanage’s past.

The game uses a distinct visual style featuring stylised proportions and symbol-laden environments, combining elements of innocence and the macabre. The experience is structured as a single, linear playthrough focused on psychological and emotional horror, with tension maintained as the orphanage’s secrets are gradually revealed.
