Tetris meets tower defence meets deck-building in this demon-blasting mash-up. Build a tower out of falling shapes and send escaped souls straight back to hell.

Heretic’s Rapture is a game that blends tetris-like block placement, tower defence, deck-building and bullet heaven combat. Players take on the role of a manager hired by the Devil to operate the Heretic’s Rapture system, which involves building towers out of tetris-like shapes to defeat demons and escaped souls attempting to reach Earth. It is a sequel to Heretic’s Fork.

The core gameplay involves constructing a tower from a deck of more than 40 shapes, each with distinct effects such as firing crucifixes, sending unholy pulses, or buffing other shapes with increased fire rate and additional projectiles. Players can choose from over 15 employees, each offering unique abilities, employee-specific shapes and different row completion rewards, allowing decks to be built around synergies with a chosen employee.

Additional systems include relic looting and crafting, using an ARPG-inspired system where players select buffs, choose modifiers and reroll stats to refine equipment, with the option to sacrifice unwanted relics at an altar for another chance at useful items. The game also features a Heretic’s Desktop interface where players can complete tasks, play minigames, solve puzzles, check leaderboards and unlock achievements tied to game management.
