Horizon Ring
Horizon Ring is an incremental tower defence game in which players protect a dome against endless waves of enemies. Before each run, players equip a limited-capacity loadout of Protocols, which are permanent upgrades that can be unlocked, improved and equipped before deployment. Because not everything can be equipped at once, the chosen loadout determines which decisions, synergies and trade-offs define a given run. Loadouts can be built around active clicking, passive generator income, a particular tower type, layered fortifications, expansion or a mix of these approaches.
The game’s economy can be grown in different ways. Players can click the HQ for immediate income, invest in generators for passive growth, or combine the two, with some loadouts rewarding constant activity and others developing into self-sufficient economies over time. On the battlefield, machine guns and cannons form the initial defence, with lasers, tesla coils, missiles, gunships, specialised modifications and various fortifications available to unlock. Terrain, tower coverage, target priorities and mobile support can be used to create kill zones, and fortification options include durable walls to hold a route, Bastions that can mount Cannons, and Blast Walls that detonate when destroyed.
Progression comes through permanent unlocks earned from wave milestones, achievements and Challenges, which add new structures and loadout options for later runs. Run upgrades and mid-run choice popups continue to shape a defence after deployment. Enemy types include airborne, explosive, swarming and heavily armoured threats, and maps reshape routes and expansion opportunities. The game includes distinct maps with terrain constraints and special waves, and four difficulty settings including Hardcore.
