Jotun: Valhalla Edition

Jotun: Valhalla Edition is a hand-drawn action-exploration game set in Norse mythology. The player controls Thora, a Viking warrior who died an inglorious death and must prove herself to the Gods in order to enter Valhalla. An overarching story reveals details about Thora’s life and death.

Play involves exploring the regions of Norse Purgatory to find runes, which release the jotun, giant Norse elementals. Thora fights them using a two-handed axe, powers granted by the Viking Gods and the player’s own skill. The game contains five jotun bosses and nine levels drawn from Viking mythology.

The Valhalla Edition adds Valhalla Mode, in which the player faces tougher versions of the jotun. Other listed features include hand-drawn animation, voice-over performed in Icelandic, and an original soundtrack composed by Max LL for each gameplay moment.
