Look Outside
Look Outside drops you into a single apartment building after something’s gone horribly wrong. One glance out a window turns people into grotesque monsters, and now you’re stuck scavenging corridors for food, supplies, and makeshift weapons just to get through another day.
It balances the scary bits with quiet downtime. You’ll head out on tense expeditions to fight your way through over 150 hand-crafted creatures in turn-based combat that actually cares about positioning, then drag your loot back home to cook dinner, craft tools, and slowly get to know the strange neighbours you’ve recruited along the way.
It’s a small, weird game with a proper nasty body horror aesthetic and a cast of characters who range from oddly charming to properly unhinged. With 10 to 12 hours of playtime, a dozen boss fights, and several different endings depending on who you save and what you uncover, there’s a lot packed into one building.
