Mini Court

Mini Court is a pixel-art mini-game played in a web browser. The player takes the role of a criminal court judge, hearing the prosecution’s case and the defence’s rebuttal, examining the evidence, and then delivering a sentence. It includes 43 criminal cases and a tutorial. The offences covered include murder, robbery resulting in death, sexual assault, arson, espionage and financial crime.

The player’s decisions carry consequences. Convicting an innocent defendant results in a charge of judicial misconduct, while releasing a guilty party without cause gradually reduces public trust until the judge is removed from the bench. Available sentences are acquittal, suspended sentence, fine, detention, probation, imprisonment for a custom number of years, life imprisonment and the death penalty. Each case comes with legal reference cards citing real statutes and precedent.

Other features include three difficulty levels, a citizen jury (lay judge) mode, and a pretrial detention review mode based on Article 70 of the Korean Criminal Procedure Act. The game also offers a judge personality analysis, downloadable verdict documents and shareable result cards. Cases are presented through text-based descriptions, and the game deals with serious offences such as murder and sexual assault. The developer advises players to check the content rating for details.
