Trainwatch is an adventure and life-simulation game with horror elements, following a gatekeeper trying to rebuild his life while manning a remote railway crossing.

Trainwatch is the sixth game from solo developer Harvester Games, blending adventure game mechanics with time-management and life simulation elements, alongside touches of horror. Players take on the role of Troy, a new Gatekeeper tasked with closing the gates at an isolated railway crossing for one month, as he attempts to rebuff his past and rebuild trust with his wife.

The game takes place in a semi-open world and features a day/night cycle with events tied to specific times. Players manage Troy’s Sanity and Stamina, complete objectives, and handle a light inventory system. Character progression allows players to gain experience, level up and unlock skills as they play.

The narrative includes branching dialogues and multiple endings, supported by full English voice acting and an original soundtrack composed by micAmic and guest contributors.
