MODice
MODice is a dice-building roguelike. Each turn the player rolls five dice, then moves them around to place gems and sets where they score best. Pairs, triples and straights can be rolled, and the same roll can produce a different score depending on how the dice are arranged.
Scores convert into steps on a board, and the player chooses which tile to land on. Options include stopping nearby for coins, a shop or a building, or travelling further. Landing on a building tile opens a catalogue where a building can be placed or upgraded. Each building has a single job and only triggers when the player lands on its tile. Sets give bonuses starting at two pieces, with the bonuses changing as more pieces are collected. Chests offer multipliers and gem evolutions. Shops sell gems and set pieces, offer a refresh, and can themselves be upgraded to stock better items.
Dice can be customised with sockets for gems, changed numbers, and different colours, skins and materials. Gold dice earn money, while glass dice raise the multiplier but break easily. The demo contains Maps 1 and 2 in Normal Mode, 8 sets, 10 bosses and all building types, with buildings following their usual acquisition and upgrade rules. The full game adds more maps, modes and build options, including Endless Mode, in which score targets keep rising and several bosses can apply their rules at the same time.
