Neon Cadence
Neon Cadence is a keyboard rhythm game set on a synthwave-styled highway. Notes travel across four lanes and are hit using the D, F, J and K keys in time with the music. The game includes 30 original tracks spanning J-pop, K-pop, English and instrumental styles, with each song charted across Easy, Normal and Hard difficulties.
Gameplay features six note types: standard taps, gold notes that register as perfect hits, wide notes covering two to four lanes, hold notes, mint glide sweeps requiring sequential movement across the lanes, and gold RUSH zones that reward rapid key presses. Scoring is open-ended, with grades ranging from D to SSS and a FEVER state triggered at 50 combo. Each song is also labelled with an intensity tier of PULSE, SURGE, CASCADE or OVERDRIVE to indicate its charting density.
The game offers customisation options including colour themes, note skins, hit-sound sets, adjustable note speed, a calibration test and a live tuner, along with the ability to toggle HUD elements. Players can unlock songs by earning points through clears, mark favourites, build custom playlists and run songs consecutively in a course mode. Adjustable settings such as lenient timing and no-fail mode allow for both relaxed and high-difficulty play. The interface is localised into 14 languages.
