A story-driven first-person psychological horror set in a single apartment, where a streamer named Rin uncovers her past while shifting between two personas.

Please, Tell Me Why? is a story-driven first-person psychological horror game set entirely within one apartment. The player takes the role of Rin, who lives alone with her cat Bonya and streams at night under the alias Alice. As she explores the flat and examines traces of the past, she works to find out who is demanding an answer to the question “Tell Me Why?” and whether the truth is something worth pursuing.

The game revolves around examining objects and memories that gradually reveal Rin’s history. Her two personas, Rin and Alice, respond differently to what they find and have access to different actions. Remaining as Alice for extended periods increases the danger, with the apartment becoming more threatening the longer that persona is maintained. Light acts as a form of protection for Rin, but overloading the power grid cuts the electricity and leaves the apartment in darkness.

Alongside the horror elements, the game includes everyday activities that are tied into the narrative. These consist of nighttime streams, daily tasks, shopping and looking after Bonya, all of which are woven into the unfolding story.
