Seed Shop: Tidy Up!

Seed Shop: Tidy Up! is a first-person organising game developed around a single premise: a seed shop has been left in disarray, with seed packets, bulbs, potted plants and saplings strewn across tables and floors. Every product has an assigned spot in the shop, and the player’s task is to collect the items, check their packaging and restore the store to order.

The shop contains thousands of scattered items covering more than 300 plant varieties. Early sorting involves familiar produce such as tomatoes, peppers, carrots and herbs, before progressing to tulips, climbing roses, ferns, fruit trees, tropical plants, tea, coffee and cacao. Each product carries its own name, illustration, colour, department and slot. Labels and department signs provide the information needed to place items, so prior plant knowledge is not required, and a product scanner is available for looking up anything unfamiliar. Players can carry a stack of products at once, either gathering several matching items or mixing different products into one load and switching between them as they work. Product groups include vegetables, herbs, flowers, bulbs, vines, succulents, houseplants, orchard trees and tropical crops.

Progress is reflected directly in the environment. Correctly placed items fill empty racks with illustrated packets, pots and boxes, cluttered floors gradually clear, and departments that begin as bare shelves fill out into displays of vegetables, flowers, foliage and fruit. The change to the shop is gradual and persistent, resulting entirely from the player’s actions from the first packet placed to the last.
