Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon
Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is a first-person perspective open-world RPG set in a dark fantasy version of Arthurian legend, taking place 600 years after the fall of King Arthur. The game features a branching main storyline alongside more than 200 side quests and over 250 NPCs, spread across three distinct zones: the Misty Horns of the South, Cuanacht Village, and the Frozen Peaks of the Forlorn Swords. It offers an estimated 50 to 70 hours of content for players to explore at their own pace.
Character development is built around flexible builds, allowing players to combine attributes, skills, and gear to create different playstyles, from melee fighters to alchemists, mages, or stealth archers. Combat incorporates melee weapons, bows, magic, throwables, and mixtures, along with dodging, parrying, and blocking mechanics. Additional systems include sketchbook journaling, fishing, farming, blacksmithing, alchemy, cooking, mining, and house management.
At night, a phenomenon called the Wyrdness alters the game world, intensifying enemy difficulty and introducing survival elements. The narrative includes morally ambiguous choices that affect the story and the fate of Avalon, tied to the legacy of King Arthur Pendragon.
