The Last Stash
The Last Stash is a shop management game with survival elements. The player runs a small store selling scarce essentials such as gas, batteries, water, food and medicine. Stock is ordered from a supplier, carried in from the delivery truck in crates and placed on shelves by hand. The player sets prices, operates the register and closes each sale. Beneath the shop is a bunker where the player lives once the shutters close, relying on whatever was not sold during the day to stay warm, fed, hydrated and lit. Hunger, thirst and cold are ongoing threats.
A battery-powered radio is the only source of news and reports on events such as droughts, fuel crises and incoming storms that affect the market. Paying attention allows the player to stock up before demand shifts, while missing a broadcast can lead to shortages. Customers pin order lists to a contract board; gathering and delivering the requested items earns money as well as parts that cannot be obtained elsewhere. These parts are used to unlock new systems for the shop.
The shop itself can be restored over time. Repairing the workbench allows the player to craft scarce goods such as medkits, and further progression involves keeping the generator running and installing new shelves. The description also refers to a covered bench in the corner of the shop that becomes relevant later in the game.
