Void Martyrs
Void Martyrs drops you into the boots of a Novice sent on a cosmic crusade to deal with a biomechanical plague spreading through the quarantined zone around Heaven’s Gate. You’re exploring a massive space Basilica that’s gone dark and silent, scavenging whatever you can find and crafting tools and weapons just to stay alive. It’s grimdark survival horror through and through, built on an alternate timeline where the church won the space race purely as a propaganda stunt.
Faith works as a proper survival mechanic here. Every violent or non-violent choice you make shifts your balance, and that faith meter opens doors to Saintly or Cursed items and buffs depending on how you play. Recover relics from the Saintly Sisters who came before you, hold off the infected creeping through the dark, and push on with the mission even when it means straying from the path you were meant to follow.
If you’re after something inspired by Darkwood and Signalis, with a grim atmosphere and genuine tension in every corridor, Void Martyrs is worth your time. Single player, controller or keyboard and mouse, and plenty of dread waiting in the silence.
