Welcome To Mars 9

Welcome To Mars 9 is a short, narrative-driven sci-fi adventure. The player takes the role of River, who has been rescued and brought to Mars 9, a space station in orbit around Mars. The station’s artificial intelligence, BrAId, presents it as a place of comfort, safety and order, while small inconsistencies and unanswered questions gradually emerge as River explores.

Players move through the station with direct character control, visiting its leisure facilities and interacting with its inhabitants to uncover a hidden secret. The game includes light environmental puzzles that are integrated into the story, along with moral dilemmas. The choices the player makes shape their experience of the game, including whether they accept what the station tells them or question it.

The game uses handcrafted pixel art environments. It concludes with a final decision that has five possible outcomes.
