WilderDash
WilderDash is a tower defence roguelite for one to six players. Each run takes place on a procedurally generated map, with the player choosing the map size and the number of monster spawners. During the day, players explore the map, gather resources and place towers along the roads that connect the monster spawns to the home base. At night, monsters travel those roads and damage the base if they reach it, while some monster types target towers instead. If the defence holds, the player levels up, draws two random upgrade cards and keeps one, then the cycle repeats with the difficulty rising each day.
There are four tower types: the Archer Tower for rapid single-target fire, the Cannon Tower for slow shots with splash damage, the Stunning Tower which pulses to slow enemies in range, and the Healing Tower which restores towers and allies. Players control one of four heroes directly on the field rather than from an overhead view. The Archer is the fastest mover and fires single shots, the Wizard fires three projectiles per volley but has very low health, the Knight is slow and durable with a cleaving melee attack, and the Cleric has no direct attack but fires projectiles that heal nearby towers. Level-up upgrades include increases to damage, health and speed, tower improvements, and new auto-attacks such as forking lightning, ricocheting shots, a spiral attack and a line of fire. Boss monsters appear on nights 5 and 10, with a final boss at level 12, and map seeds can be replayed.
The game can be played solo or in online co-op, where each player can take a separate lane or lanes can be shared. Difficulty can be adjusted through smaller maps, shorter lanes, more lanes and higher difficulty settings. Three biomes are available: Grasslands, Desert and Arctic, with the latter two introducing tower-attacking goblins on night 2. Three modes are offered. Standard runs the full 12 days and nights to the final boss. Zen removes the night waves entirely and focuses on gathering. Endless starts the player with a chosen class, five maxed-out upgrades and a large stock of resources, after which the night continues indefinitely and the wave counter serves as the score.
