Berserk Boy
Berserk Boy is one of those games that makes you remember why you fell in love with platformers in the first place. A mad scientist called Dr. Genos wants to enslave humanity with his army of Dark Energy minions, and it’s down to a rookie hero named Kei to stop him. Lucky for us, Kei gets touched by mysterious Orb energy and transforms into the one and only Berserk Boy.
You’ll wield the power of five Berserk Orbs, Lightning, Fire, Earth, Air and Ice, each one changing how you move and fight. Chain combos together to fill up your Berserk Meter and unleash some proper devastating special attacks, then upgrade your abilities as you go to feel more unstoppable with every stage.
The world of New Hope City and beyond is packed with Metroidvania touches, so expect hidden paths, secret missions and collectibles tucked away for the curious. It’s fast, it’s stylish, and it wears its retro inspirations proudly while still feeling like something built for today. If you’re after tight platforming with a bit of attitude, this one’s well worth a go.
