Berserk Boy

Berserk Boy is an action platformer set in a distant future where a mad scientist, Dr. Genos, and his army of Dark Energy minions are trying to enslave the people of Earth. Kei, a rookie member of The Resistance, is transformed by mysterious Orb energy into Berserk Boy, and sets out to stop Dr. Genos.

Players move through stages by jumping, dashing, slamming and sliding. Chaining combos fills a Berserk Meter, which allows the player to use special attacks. The game includes five Berserk Orbs, based on Lightning, Fire, Earth, Air and Ice, each granting a different form. Abilities can be upgraded as the game progresses.

The game takes place in New Hope City and beyond, and includes some Metroidvania elements such as alternate paths, hidden collectibles and unlockable hidden missions. It draws on classic platformers in its retro style, and offers scoring and speed-based play for those who want to replay stages for higher scores and faster times.
