Catnip Fever Dreamland

Catnip Fever Dreamland is a level-based action game in which the player controls Krum, a cat travelling through his own mind. Progress is made by collecting and smoking enough catnip to move on to the next level, with the overall aim of escaping. Each completed level unlocks a flashback that reveals more about what Krum is mentally processing, including the question of why he cannot talk.

Combat centres on inner demons. Items described as artefacts of trauma turn into cat-shaped demons, some of which represent Krum’s perception of his family members, and these must be defeated to continue. Players can eat food items such as waffles, burgers and bacon to raise their maximum HP incrementally, which is intended to help in these fights. Three difficulty settings are available: easy, normal and hard.

The game also includes a multiplayer mode for up to four players, in which participants compete to gather the most catnip. Anything unlocked in Story mode becomes available in Multiplayer, and the length of each round can be set from 1 to 100 catnip per match. The developer runs periodic leaderboard contests with cash payouts made through PayPal; details and official rules for these are posted in the leaderboard menu and in accompanying announcements.
