Cursed Waters: Idle RPG
Cursed Waters: Idle RPG casts the player as the Captain of a pirate ship that keeps sailing whether or not they are watching. Combat plays out in turns and resolves without input, so players can follow the battle log or leave it running in the background. When the game is closed, the crew continues to fight, accumulating gold and experience for the player’s return.
The crew consists of five roles: the Captain, who buffs allies; the Quartermaster, who acts as a defensive frontliner; the Surgeon, who heals; the Swashbuckler, a ranged damage dealer; and the Sea Hag, who damages the entire enemy line at once. Each crew member begins with one active ability and unlocks passive abilities as they level up. Progression is supported by a 24-node skill tree and an equipment system built on 300 item bases spread across five rarities, with sockets, gem shards and quality rolls. Crafting works by ordering a slot and a rarity rather than a specific item, and a Standing Orders feature automatically scraps items matching criteria the player defines. Ships can be refitted into new hulls while retaining their fittings.
The campaign spans 50 levels across five chapters, beginning with Shallows Skirmish and ending with The Gallows Tide. Each chapter concludes with a named flagship encounter that requires a chart to reach. The game features 35 enemy types and 43 abilities in total. The interface is designed with second-monitor play in mind: the battle, menus and cargo hold are displayed side by side on a single screen, so no view needs to be left in order to manage another.
